A sign of the times must be the number of offers I am seeing with a personal letter attached. Not all of you, but some of you might, with a roll of the eyes, dismiss the stories of husband, wife and kids, their dreams and aspirations and desire to own a home in Marin, but let me stop you right there. Whether the market is hot or not, I’ve always felt that a personal letter is a great idea. It gives the Seller a real idea of who you are and has, on more than one occasion, swung the deal in their favor even when there offer was not the best. So all you prospective Buyers, take out your pen, pencil or iPad and start writing!
