If you plan to sell your home in 2013, you need every edge you can get to attract the most buyers and the best prices. Here’s some advice from aol.com. Select the link at the end of the post. Most of the items are common sense, really, yet for some reason they’ve left out the most important and obvious items. Some of my thoughts:
1. This may go without saying, but the single most important thing that helps sell your home is having it on the MLS, the gateway to the Internet. Internet exposure will draw the eyes, especially in the first three weeks, so make sure your house is ready!
2. To make it ready, pay special attention to both the inside and outside of the house, that all-important first impression, the front door, the kitchen and bathrooms, and the clutter. If you’d like, email me and I will send you a comprehensive checklist.
3. Once the house is looking its best, have it open often, especially in those first three weeks, the time of most traffic and interest. This includes Brokers Open Houses as well as the Sunday open
4. Finally, try and make the home available for private showings. This might be difficult and make you nervous and you won’t want to do it, but remember, if a Buyer can’t see it, they won’t buy it!
